Purchased in June 2018, Farleys Printing Works is located on the fringe of Fareham town centre.

This former printing works, with its solid structure and ample space, offered an ideal opportunity for residential conversion.

Its strategic location near local amenities and transport links made it an attractive choice for redevelopment into modern residential units.

Development Approach

The project involved a comprehensive strip-out, extension, and re-purposing of the ageing industrial site under Permitted Development Rights. The fascia of the two-storey building, once used as office space for the printing business, was overhauled to meet contemporary living standards.

Result

Over 12 months, this 2,000 sq ft building was transformed into 5 modern flats, blending original character with contemporary design. The development not only created functional and aesthetically pleasing homes but also significantly boosted the local housing stock, providing much-needed residential units to the community.
